More than 65 percent of Rollins students live on campus in our residential facilities, which range in format from traditional residence halls to apartments.

Welcome families! The Office of Residence Life (RLO) is eagerly preparing for Move-In Day Spring 2026 and looks forward to welcoming your student to campus. Below is an easy-to-follow guide with important instructions and helpful resources to ensure a smooth arrival and transition.
Move-In Day
Please read the following carefully to help make move-in efficient and safe for everyone.
Check-In Process
- Drive-through check-in: Check-in is a drive-through process at your assigned location. You may remain in your vehicle while completing check-in and then proceed directly to your residence hall to unload. Most students will participate in the drive through check in process, however, depending on your move-in date the process may be different. Be sure to review your housing assignment email for instructions on your move-in location.
- Arrive on time: Please arrive at your designated check-in time. Our system will not allow check-in earlier than your scheduled time.
- Unloading procedures: To ensure a smooth process, please have one person stay with the vehicle to park. While one individual parks, another member of your party may begin unloading and take items to the student's room.
- Day to settle in: Your assigned check-in time is when you may begin the move-in process. You will have the rest of the day to move in and get settled in your residence hall room.
Late Arrivals
- If you miss your scheduled time: Visit the RLO Office in the Lakeside Neighborhood until 5:00pm (M-F) or if RLO is closed go to Campus Safety to check in and pick up your key.
- Need to change your scheduled time? RLO is unable to accommodate changes to move-in dates or times except in emergency situations. If you need to change your time due to an emergency, email reslife@rollins.edu and our team will review your request, during business hours, and will respond accordingly.
Packages & Mail
- Package delivery window: Packages may be delivered to campus with a delivery date no earlier than January 5th. Items delivered before this date may be returned.
- Mailbox numbers: Students will be able to view their mailbox number via MyHousing a week after they receive their housing assignment.
- Package pick-up location: will be at the various lockers on campus; check your email for instructions from Rollins Mail Services.
Oversized Vehicle Parking (Box Trucks & Trailers)
- Parking is at the baseball stadium. You can contact Campus Safety 407-646-2999 for an escort.

Residential Organization

Residency Requirement
All full-time College of Liberal Arts students must live on campus for three (3) years or six (6) semesters.
Students who fall within the residency requirement and want to live off campus must submit a Housing Exemption application through their MyRollins account via My Housing.
Exceptions to the residency requirement are typically made for students who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Married students
- Military Veterans
- Non-degree-seeking students or second-degree-seeking students.
- Students aged 16 years or younger by the earliest move-in date available to incoming students.
- Students aged 21 or older at the point of enrollment
- Students whose permanent residence, living with their parent/guardian, is within 50-mile radius of the College. (30-mile radius will be implemented for the 26-27 school year)
- Students who have legal dependents.
- Students who have completed at least 72 credits at another college/university after high school; or an AA at another college/university after high school.
- Transfer students who have lived on campus for four (4) semesters at another college/university after high school.
- Students whose situations do not meet the listed criteria may request an exemption based on compelling individual circumstances to be considered by Residence Life.

Meal Plan Information
All residential students are required to have a meal plan. There are meal plan options available for commuter students and faculty/staff. For information on how to select a meal plan go to Rollins Dining Services. To purchase Dining Dollars and TarBuc$ go to eAccounts and follow the instructions.

- Spring Meal Plan Change Period Opens: January 5th at 12PM EST.
