Amy I. McClure, PhD
Associate Professor of Sociology
Amy McClure teaches a variety of courses, including Self and Society, Sociology of Gender, Sexualities, Sociology of Emotions, Feminist Methodology, and our Senior Seminar Capstone.
Dr. McClure's research is focused on examining the processes under which social inequalities are created, maintained, and reproduced within a variety of contexts. Her most current research projects involve qualitative examinations of atheist and Pagan parenting in the Bible Belt, experiences of lower-income college students, and assessment of pedagogical strategies for teaching controversial topics.
