Barbara Lawrence Alfond Central Florida Award
A no-loan tuition program for Orange County public high school students
As the first college in Florida, Rollins is committed to enrolling outstanding students from our own backyard here in Orange County. Thanks to the generous support of the Harold Alfond Foundation, Rollins is expanding that commitment with the introduction of the Barbara Lawrence Alfond Central Florida Award.
Students who attend and graduate from an Orange County public high school may qualify for this no-loan tuition program in addition to being considered for the more than $100 million in federal, state, and institutional funding that Rollins students tap into every year. Barbara Lawrence Alfond Central Florida Award recipients will have their full demonstrated financial need as outlined by the FAFSA met with grant dollars up to the cost of tuition with no loans*.

Who is Eligible
To be considered for this award, students must first meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Attend an Orange County public high school for at least two years prior to high school graduation and be on track to graduate from that school.
- Submit the completed first-year application for admission to Rollins under the Early Decision I agreement no later than the November 15 deadline. All supplemental application materials must be received no later than November 24.
- Meet the basic student eligibility criteria for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit to Rollins no later than November 15. Learn more about eligibility criteria for federal student aid.
- Family Annual Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) as outlined in the FAFSA may be no more than $80,000. Learn more about AGI.
- Be admitted to Rollins under the Early Decision agreement by December 15 and submit the enrollment deposit by January 15.
- Please note that funding is limited and eligibility does not guarantee receipt of award. Students who satisfy the above criteria who do not receive the no-loan scholarship will alternatively receive a $5,000 Central Florida Scholarship on top of any other financial aid for which they qualify, up to the cost of tuition.
Renewable for Three Years
The Barbara Lawrence Alfond Central Florida Award is renewable for three years with a 2.0 GPA and maintaining of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) towards degree.
Orange County Public High Schools
The Barbara Lawrence Alfond Central Florida Award is designed for students who have attended an Orange County public high school for at least two years prior to high school graduation and who are on track to graduate from that school.
