To that end, the Office of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts values and provides support for:

• thoughtful, generous, student-focused faculty who balance academic rigor with concern for student learning and student wellbeing;
• creative, innovative, and equity-minded pedagogies;
• research and inquiry that contributes to student learning and faculty knowledge; and
• practices that promote equity by respecting and valuing students, faculty, and staff for who they are in order that they feel supported to do their best work.
